Description

A savory, three-ingredient sausage and cheese ball — hot sausage cooked and drained, poured hot directly over grated Coon cheese, then mixed with Bisquick while still warm and rolled into balls before baking. The heat from the meat is what melts the cheese into the dough. Simple pub-style appetizer that disappears fast at any gathering.

Note

Pour the meat over the cheese while it is still hot straight from the pan — the heat is what melts the cheese into the Bisquick and makes the dough easy to roll.
