Deviled Eggs
Description
A classic deviled egg recipe — hard-boiled eggs halved, yolks mashed with mayonnaise, yellow mustard, sweet relish, and salt until smooth and creamy, piped back into the whites, and dusted with paprika. A timeless appetizer that disappears first at every gathering.

Place eggs in a single layer in a pot. Cover with cold water by 1 inch. Bring to a boil, then remove from heat, cover, and let stand 12 minutes. Transfer to ice water to cool completely.

Peel eggs. Slice each in half lengthwise. Remove yolks to a bowl.

Mash yolks with a fork. Add mayonnaise, mustard, and sweet relish. Mix until smooth and creamy. Season with salt.

Pipe or spoon yolk mixture back into the egg white halves.
