Description

A rich, velvety sweet potato casserole with a buttery pecan crumble topping — mashed sweet potatoes beaten fluffy with butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla, and milk, spread in a pan and topped with a brown sugar, flour, butter, and pecan streusel. Baked at 350°F for 30 minutes until the topping is golden and the filling is set. The sweet potato dish everyone actually looks forward to at Thanksgiving.

  1. Boil sweet potatoes until tender and drain thoroughly.
  2. Combine sweet potatoes, sugar, eggs, vanilla, milk, and butter in a mixer bowl. Beat with electric mixer until smooth, moist, and fluffy.
  3. Spread sweet potato mixture in a 9Ă—9 or 9Ă—13 pan.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix brown sugar, flour, room-temperature butter, and pecans together until crumbly.
  5. Sprinkle topping evenly over the sweet potato mixture.
  6. Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes until topping is golden and filling is set.
