Description

A no-bake layered dessert built in a 9×13 pan — graham cracker crust, a rich butter and powdered sugar cream layer beaten for 15 minutes at high speed, covered with banana slices and crushed pineapple, blanketed in Cool Whip, and garnished with chopped pecans and maraschino cherries. Classic banana split flavors in a scoopable pan dessert.

Instructions

  1. Mix 1 stick of butter and graham cracker crumbs together. Press firmly into the bottom of a 9×13-inch pan.
  2. Beat 2 eggs, 2 sticks of butter, and 2 cups powdered sugar together at high speed for 15 minutes.
  3. Spread the butter-sugar cream mixture evenly over the graham cracker layer.
  4. Arrange banana slices over the cream layer.
  5. Spread crushed pineapple over the bananas.
  6. Cover everything with Cool Whip.
  7. Garnish with chopped pecans and maraschino cherries.
  8. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.

Note

The cream layer requires 15 full minutes of beating at high speed to develop the proper light, fluffy texture. A stand mixer is strongly recommended.
