Death by Chocolate
Description
A legendary trifle built on devil's food cake soaked overnight in Kahlúa, layered with prepared chocolate mousse, Cool Whip, and crushed Skor or Heath bars. Crumbled and layered repeatedly in a large bowl or trifle dish and refrigerated until served. Rich, dramatic, and absolutely worthy of the name.

Bake devil's food cake in a 9×14-inch pan according to package directions. Cool completely.

Prick cake all over with a fork. Pour Kahlúa evenly over the cake. Cover and let stand overnight or for several hours.

Prepare mousse mix according to package directions.

Cut the soaked cake in half. Crumble one half into a large bowl or trifle dish.

Layer with mousse, Cool Whip, and crushed candy bars.

Crumble remaining cake on top. Layer mousse, Cool Whip, and candy bars again.

Repeat until all ingredients are used. Refrigerate until serving.
