Description

A deep-dish pecan pie enriched with bourbon, chocolate chips, and two sugars — baked on the lowest rack for a full hour until completely set. Every element of a classic pecan pie, made more complex and more decadent with the addition of bourbon and semisweet chocolate. The definitive grown-up version of the Southern classic.

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Place a deep-dish pie crust in a 9-inch pie pan.
  2. Whisk together eggs, corn syrup, melted butter, both sugars, bourbon, flour, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Stir in chopped pecans and chocolate chips.
  4. Pour filling into pie crust.
  5. Bake on the lowest oven rack at 350°F for 1 hour or until set — the filling should not jiggle when the pan is nudged.
  6. Cool completely before slicing.
