Description

A fragrant Middle Eastern sesame seed and herb blend brushed over pita bread and baked until crispy. Ground sesame seeds, fresh parsley, thyme, and lemon zest transform a simple pita into something extraordinary.

  1. Place sesame seeds in a blender and process until well ground.
  2. Add parsley, thyme, lemon zest, salt, and pepper. Stir well to combine.
  3. Brush pita bread generously with olive oil.
  4. Sprinkle the sesame seed mixture evenly over the oiled pitas.
  5. Refrigerate up to 6 hours if making ahead, or bake immediately.
  6. Preheat oven to 450°F. Bake for 8 minutes until crispy and fragrant.
  7. Cut into wedges and serve warm alongside hummus, dips, or on their own.
