Description

A silky, creamy peanut butter icing from Southern Living — confectioner's sugar, creamy peanut butter, unsalted butter, vanilla, and salt beaten together at medium-low speed, then finished with heavy cream beaten on high until light and smooth. The perfect frosting for chocolate cake, chocolate cupcakes, or brownies.

Ingredients
  • 1 Cup Confectioner's sugar
  • 1 Cup Peanut butter, creamy
  • 5 Tbsp. Butter, unsalted
  • 3/4 tsp. Vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp. Salt
  • 1/3 Cups Heavy cream
Instructions

    Place confectioner's sugar, peanut butter, butter, vanilla, and salt in the bowl of an electric mixer.

    Mix at medium-low speed until creamy, scraping down the sides of the bowl with a rubber spatula.

    Add heavy cream and beat on high speed until the mixture is light and smooth.

    Use immediately or refrigerate and re-whip briefly before using.
Note

Beat the cream in at high speed for a full minute to create a light, fluffy texture. Under-beating produces a dense, heavy frosting.
