Drumsticks Diablo
Description
Chicken drumsticks floured, browned in butter, then slow-cooked in a tangy sweet-and-spicy sauce of tomatoes, brown sugar, vinegar, Worcestershire, chili powder, dry mustard, celery, garlic, and onion for 8 hours on low or 4 hours on high. Served with spaghetti for a sauce worth soaking up.

Shake drumsticks in a plastic bag with flour, ½ tsp. salt, and pepper until coated.

Brown drumsticks in margarine in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Transfer to slow cooker.

Stir tomatoes, brown sugar, vinegar, Worcestershire, chili powder, dry mustard, celery seeds, and garlic into the pan drippings. Bring to a boil.

Pour sauce over drumsticks in the slow cooker. Top with chopped onion.

Cook on LOW for 8 hours or HIGH for 4 hours until chicken is tender and falling off the bone.

Serve over spaghetti.
