Description

A classic pour-over blackberry cobbler from Southern Living — a simple flour, sugar, milk, and butter batter poured into a greased baking dish, blackberries and remaining sugar sprinkled over the top, and baked at 350°F for an hour until golden and bubbling. The batter rises around the blackberries as it bakes. Serve warm with ice cream.

  2. Whisk together 1 cup sugar, self-rising flour, and milk until just blended. Whisk in melted butter.
  3. Pour batter into the prepared baking dish.
  4. Sprinkle frozen blackberries and remaining ÂĽ cup sugar evenly over the batter. Do not stir.
  5. Bake at 350°F for 1 hour or until golden brown and bubbly.
  6. Serve warm.
