Description

The simplest, most honest peach cobbler — margarine, self-rising flour, sugar, and milk poured directly over canned peaches with juice in a greased baking dish and baked for an hour at 400°F. The batter rises up around the peaches as it bakes into a golden, crispy-edged cobbler that is impossible to improve upon.

Note

Do not stir the batter into the peaches after pouring — let the batter sit on top and it will rise around the fruit as it bakes, creating the signature cobbler texture.
