Truffle Topped Amaretto Brownies
Description
A three-layer brownie bar — an amaretto and almond brownie base, spread with a silky cream cheese and melted chocolate filling flavored with more amaretto, then finished with a poured ganache topping and garnished with toasted sliced almonds. Baked, layered, refrigerated, and cut. One of the most decadent bars in the book.

Instructions
Make the Brownie

Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9×13-inch pan.

In a large bowl, combine brownie mix, oil, water, amaretto, egg, and chopped almonds. Beat 50 strokes by hand.

Spread batter in greased pan. Bake 26–33 minutes until set. Cool completely.
Make the Filling

Beat cream cheese and powdered sugar at medium speed until smooth.

Add melted chocolate chips and 2 Tbsp. amaretto. Mix until combined.

Spread filling over cooled brownies. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
Make the Topping

In a small saucepan over low heat, melt chocolate chips with whipping cream, stirring constantly until smooth.

Carefully spread ganache topping over the cream cheese layer. Garnish with toasted sliced almonds.

Refrigerate for 1 hour or until fully set. Cut into bars.
