Some of the best things in life are passed down
faith, values, and recipes.
This site was created to share the family recipes gathered through the generations. These recipes were created by grandparents, parents, children, and friends — each one carrying a memory, a season, a table full of people who loved each other well.
At some point these recipes were gathered together and placed into a three-ring binder, given as a gift to four daughters when they got married. It was a simple act of love — a way of sending a piece of home with them into their new lives.
Twenty-five years have passed since that Family Recipe Book was first assembled, and the book has grown right along with the family.
Recipes from the families of these four women’s husbands have found their way in. New traditions have joined the old ones. And that humble two-inch binder cannot hold all the wonderful things inside it anymore.
It is because of this — because the binder is full and the family keeps growing — that this site was created. These recipes deserve more than a binder. They deserve to be shared, cooked, and carried forward by the next generation.
Welcome to the our family’s table.

About me
One of the lucky ones
I am one of the lucky guys to have married one of those four women who received a recipe book. Now 26 years later, my wife and I have built quite a full house. 2 adults, 5 children, 3 dogs
Needless to say, we do not eat out much — it would cost me an arm and a leg. Cooking at home is not just practical around here, it is a way of life. And over the years I have added a few recipes of my own to the book, along with some handed down from my side of the family.
This site is my way of making sure all of it ends up somewhere it can actually be found, used, and enjoyed.
I will do my best to give credit to the original cook wherever I can. But some of these recipes have been passed around so many times and for so long that their origins have been lost. If one of them is yours, consider it a compliment.
